The AIM-8-V3 calibration box is used with the
AIM-8-V3 unit during the calibration process and contains an internal impedance network (a
known calibration standard) that simulates a subject’s bioelectric impedance between the AIM’s
electrodes. Though not visible in the picture above, the four bindings post terminals on the
box are labeled #1 through #4, corresponding to each of the leads on the impedance electrode
cable. The calibration unit is necessary for calibrating the AIM unit and is therefore shipped
with both the Complete and Basic AIM-8-V3 System Packages.
